Manager Continuous Improvement - Black Belt/ Six Sigma Consultant

Our client is a prestigious multibillion dollar Private Equity firm with investments in many fast growing industries worldwide. They have a requirement for Certified Six Sigma/Black Belt professional to perform operational improvement for their portfolio companies. You will have an Engineering Degree from a Western University with a minimum of seven years experience with a Management Consultancy in a similar function. You will work closely with the portfolio management team and help identify issues and develop recommendations to bring in cash positive results and long term gains.

Candidate Profile

• Candidate should have a degree in Engineering
• Minimum 7+ years management/consulting experience – operations/shop floor experience is desired
• Certified Black Belt and/or Lean professional with success in leading Six Sigma/Kaizen or similar operational improvement projects with strong understanding of concepts such as Kaizen, TQM, Six Sigma, Lean Sigma etc.,
• Demonstrated ability in leading an operation through a transition or transformation, delivering under difficult situations and adapting to new work environments
• Possess strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes and formal change management procedures
• Highly developed strategic, critical thinking, relationship management and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work well with multiple teams across functional units and present persuasively to senior management
• Superior analytical, problem solving and communication skills (verbal/written) with exceptional attention to details
• Self-starter and independent thinker

Job Description
• Linking identified gaps through financial and operational benchmark studies to specific operational issues at the portfolio companies
• Closely examine and evaluate the production processes/ facilities, supply chain, warehousing, distribution, procurement and related functions
• Works closely with portfolio companies’ management team in identifying root causes and developing specific initiatives that drive out non-value-adding activity or waste and positively impact bottom line
• Develop specific recommendations and collaborate with Top Management that bring cash positive results and long-term gains
• Responsible for providing expert advice and pragmatic implementation support across a range of tools and techniques such as
Material/Information Flow Analysis/TQM/ LEAN/ Six Sigma/ Kaizen/Business Process Re-engineering /Lead or Cycle Times /WIP Reduction/Inventory Management; Demand Forecasting etc
• Assisting respective management teams in implementing recommendations by establishing, monitoring and reporting key metrics and project status
